Finance Committee

Purpose:
The purpose of the Finance Committee is oversight of church finances to enable the congregation to fulfill its call, mission, and ministries.

Committee Duties:
The committee's duties include, buy are not limited to:

- Develop, oversee, and monitor financial processes, procedures,
controls, and systems to ensure integrity in financial reporting and handling
of church finances;

- Review and report on church finances continuously to the Church Council
and other ministry and administrative teams;

- Coordinate plans with Stewardship Committee and Board of Trustees
to facilitate planned giving, current and long-term, by members and friends of Wesley;

- Compile annually ministry and administrative teams financial support requests
into a comprehensive annual budget for submission, consideration,
and approval by the Church Council;

- Administer funds received according to giver's instruction or instruction
from Church Council; and

- Provide for an annual audit of the church's financial and
all church-affiliated groups' records.
