Hands to Hearts

Have you noticed the delicious, freshly baked cookies and the hot brewed coffee in the Third Street Narthex on the third Sunday of each month? And have you noticed the green shirted individuals offering a helping hand to visitors, to current and new members or to anyone who may need assistance in any way? Well, these people are members of the Evangelism Committee's newest program called Hands to Hearts. While we strive to be of assistance in many ways, our roles are currently developing. For example, last December we hosted a Birthday Party for Jesus for the young children, served as greeters and ushers, the group lit one of the Advent candle during services in December, and we participated in the readings for the Good Friday Service. We are continually searching for ways to show the hearts and doors to Wesley Church are open to everyone. Our members also maintain the current events bulletin board in the Narthex at Third Street to make sure everyone is aware of all the good deeds and workings going on with our church members.

The current list of members includes:Grey Bardo, Amy Jo Casey, Sandy Cooper, Doug and Linda Creveling, Karen Halterman, Martin , Trudy and Ira Hauck, Billee Horn, Elizabeth, Jennie, Kelsey, and Terry King, Lori Laubach, Kay and Preston McGregor, Bunny Rake, Opal Strausser, Donna Wallace, Maxine Werkeiser, Barb White and Gloria Young.

The Hands to Hearts committee is continually looking for new faces willing ot put on a green shirt with the red heart and serve in the capacity of opening their heart and shaking hands with the people who worship at Wesley.

Come join and enjoy the good feeling you get when yo udirect a mother to the nursery to change the baby's diaper, or escort someone to the Sunday school rooms on the second floor for their first time.
